Outdoor Classroom Day is “A GLOBAL campaign to celebrate
outdoor play and learning, and inspire schools to get outdoors to play
and learn EVERY day.”
On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, Buker School celebrated Outdoor
Classroom Day! Nichole Gray spearheaded the planning of this
program with help from Buker staff. The classroom teachers planned
engaging and educational nature inspired centers that classes visited
throughout the day. Some of the stations were - Composting, Painting
Kindness Rocks, Natures’ Homes, Pond Observations, Poetry
Reading and Writing, Yoga and Measuring in Nature. Students were
outside learning through nature and play as much of the day as
possible. It was a true celebration of nature and community! Thanks
Nichole and Buker staff for all of your efforts!
